Chadol Running Club: Inspired by a Cat, United by Community in Seoul

Chadol Running Club started with four friends in Mapo-gu who ran together in the mornings. As more people joined, Yoonsun Choi, the leader, made it official on October 27, 2019. She named the group after her cat, Chadol, which gave the club its unique character.

Yoonsun Choi built the club on the idea that running should be fun and open to everyone. Whether you're a marathon veteran or just starting out, you'll find support and encouragement here. The group values running together and helping each other.

Running is at the core of Chadol Running Club, but members also connect through bike rides, swimming, and social meetups. Yoonsun Choi runs their YouTube channel, where they post about their runs and events.

Chadol Running Club meets every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in Mangwon-dong, Mapo-gu. They usually run 5 to 10 kilometers at different paces, so everyone can join in. Sometimes they mix things up with interval training or trail runs.

If you're in Seoul and want to run, Chadol Running Club is happy to have you. They love running, welcome everyone, and enjoy spending time together. Join them on a Sunday morning to see what they're all about.
