HardTopRunClub was inspired by the Nike Darkhorse project and founded in November 2019 in Guangzhou, China by Li and Kit to share the idea and spirit of "breakthrough your limit".

The term “Hard Top” means in Chinese and Cantonese to motivate yourself and to keep pushing your own limits and beyond. We have no intention of becoming an elite runner at all. For us, it is most important that we run together and have fun. We always like to find and share interesting routes and places in hour city of Guangzhou by running.

We meet every Tuesday or Wednesday to run intervals together on the track and on Saturday to get through the long runs in the group because the motivation is simply much greater for each one of us.
